The Delta line of hand-held XRF analyzers, launched at beginning of 2010, offers fast measurements with accuracy, precision detection limits and light element measurement capability, all built into a compact, single-chassis frame wrapped in an industrial-grade body.

The Olympus Delta line offers tube power of 40 kV+ (or 50 kV), 4W max and 30 mm2 proprietary Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) with Resolution < 160eV fwhm at Mn Ka. The integrated accelerometer orients display, manages power consumption, tracks impact force with date and time stamp. A hot swap battery maintains analyzer power, calibration and data during battery change, and the docking station provides automatic calibration check and charging. An integrated, dedicated heat sink coupled to tube and electronics for efficient heat dissipation. The analyzers offer up to 2Gb storage and 150,000 readings. They have an integrated camera with auto exposure and on-the-fly adjustment for lighting conditions, an electronically controlled beam collimation
with 3 mm and 10 mm diameter spot collimation, and a bright, interactive touchscreen display, icon-based user interface.

Four DELTA products are available. The DELTA-50: 50 kV handheld with a large area/high resolution SDD for heavy element and Rare Earth Element (REE) analysis; DELTA Premium: 40kV Rh anode HHXRF with large area SDD offers excellent light element (LE) analysis and optimal LODs across the spectrum; DELTA Standard: 40 kV Ag anode gives good LE performance and analysis for most applications; and the DELTA Classic: basic HHXRF performance with SiPin detector. www.Olympus-IMS.com
