Columbia Steel’s slab breaker jaws are based on conventional and high tool jaw designs with additional raised slab breakers located it pitch with the conventionally located teeth. The number of slab breakers is in proportion to the width of the size and model of the jaw crusher.
This allows an operator to set a discharge setting for a reasonable opening and still break slabs that would otherwise flow through the crusher. Columbia Steel’s jaws are available in standard manganese steel alloy and its Xtralloy premium manganese. Every part is made in the company’s Portland, Ore., facility and is guaranteed for proper fit, performance and customer satisfaction.
The company also produces several blow bar designs for cement and aggregate plants. Primary horizontal shaft impactor blow bars in L98 premium manganese steel outperforms competitive blow bars, according to Columbia Steel. Horizontal shaft impactors used for secondary and for concrete and asphalt recycling require hard and tough blow bars. Columbia Steel ensures the exact alloy chemistry, and every alloy steel and alloy iron blow bar is checked for specified hardness to confirm proper heat treatment. Hundreds of blow bar patterns for many makes and models are available as well as new and customized designs. www.columbiasteel.com
