During the upcoming C&D World show on March 23, an election will be held for new CMRA officers and board members. Nominated for president is John Adelman, president, CPRC Group, Maine. Adelman has previously served as vice president and secretary/treasurer of the association where he was instrumental in helping organize and improve the finances of the CMRA.
Nominated for CMRA vice president is Valerie Montecalvo, president, Bayshore Recycling, Keasbey, N.J. She has served as secretary/treasurer of the CMRA, and has been very active in promoting the CMRA and providing leadership on regulatory and legislative issues.
Nominated for secretary/treasurer of the organization is Jason Haus, CEO, Dem-Con. Shakopee, Minn. Haus has been working to refine the CMRA’s proposed program for certifying the recycling rate of C&D recycling facilities, and he also heads the association’s Shingle Recycling Committee.
Current CMRA President Jonathan Hixon, vice president, ERRCO and LL&S Recycling in New Hampshire, will become immediate past president, replacing James Taylor, chairman, Taylor Recycling Facility in New York.
Several new board members have been nominated:
“This is without a doubt the most diverse board the CMRA has ever had and positions us well moving into 2011 and beyond,” said Hixon. “These individuals commitment to our board will ensure continued growth in the organization as well as bring fresh perspectives to C&D recycling.”
