Atlas Copco Enters the Mobile Crushing and Screening Business

Atlas Copco Austria GmbH has acquired Hartl Anlagenbau GmbH, Austria, a company that manufactures and sells mobile crushers and screeners. By this acquisition Atlas Copco enters the growing mobile crushing and screening market, strengthening the Group’s offering in the areas of quarrying and recycling.

“The acquisition strengthens Atlas Copco’s position as market leader within surface rock excavation and handling, as well as within recycling and road construction. The Powercrusher product-line complements our current product-offering and makes us an even more complete partner. Our customers will benefit from having the same supplier for drill rigs, breakers, road construction equipment as well as mobile crushers and screeners,” said Andreas Malmberg, president, Surface Drilling Equipment division.

Atlas Copco Powercrusher offers a wide range of track-mounted mobile crushers and screeners for various applications. The range covers jaw crushers, impact crushers and cone crushers with a crushing capacity ranging from 200-500 t/h, and screeners with a crushing capacity of 200-400 t/h.

The Powercrusher products are mainly distributed through a dealer network. The majority of the sales have so far been in United States, Russia and Western Europe.
