EPA Region 9 Releases Reuse Map
Wednesday, 16 March 2011 12:58
A new GIS map showing deconstruction and building materials reuse stores in California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii has been launched by the U.S. EPA. The EPA encourages reuse of local materials salvaged from deconstructed buildings to reduce waste and to decrease the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production and transportation of new building materials.
This interactive map will help homeowners and builders in Region 9 find organizations that sell salvaged building materials for reuse in their own building projects. The map includes pop-up displays with materials sold, services provided, contact information and store hours. For more information, visit
