Montreal-based Major Wire Industries Ltd. has named Westate Machinery Co. as its new screen media authorized dealer in Montana, eastern Idaho and parts of Wyoming. The dealership offers all of Major Wire’s screen media solutions, including the advanced technology Flex-Mat 3 Self-Cleaning Screen Media in tensioned and modular versions and OptimumWire Woven Wire.

Leaders of the Recycling Org-anizations of North America (RONA) and the National Recycling Coalition (NRC) announced plans to move forward with formal cooperative efforts. Both have agreed that collaboration is essential if recycling is to move forward in North America. Leaders of the two organizations met August 15, prior to the Resource Recycling Conference in Indianapolis, and followed that meeting with a public forum to discuss these next steps and other ideas with current and potential members.

Beyond the collaborative approach, the organizations hope to better understand each other, determine steps to move this industry/movement forward, find common ground, identify needs, respond to feedback and requests from ROs. The groups also hope to foster and enhance formal cooperation among the state, provincial and regional recycling organizations and other local, state, national and international organizations.

KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens announced Astec AggReCon West as the newest member of its U.S. dealer network. The company, headquartered in Eugene, Ore., brings a strong background in the aggregate and mining industries as it begins marketing the KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens product lines in Washington, Oregon, Hawaii and Alaska.

Astec AggReCon West is a full-service operation that sells all parts and equipment as well as provides service and maintenance to its designated territory. It is a one-stop dealer for all parts and equipment related to processing crushed aggregates, sand and gravel, coal, slag and recycled concrete and asphalt.
