Kolberg-Pioneer, Inc. has appointed Gary Engel a design engineer for the engineering team. Engel will work with the Pioneer crush-ing and screening product group to learn the fundamentals of portable plant design.

He will also work with the jaw and impactor designs as the product line continues to evolve. Engel earned his bachelor’s degree in agricultural and biosystems engineering from South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D. He spent the past four years working on transmission design at Caterpillar, Inc., in Peoria, Ill.

 


Matthew Davidson has joined Vecoplan LLC. Davidson earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineer-ing from Clemson University in 2007, and brings three years of practical experience from Crowder Construction Co. where he was mechanical project engineering manager. He also spent two-years as a mechanical engineering intern with Square D. Davidson’s responsibilities will include coordinating the design and development of turnkey shredding systems for the recycling sector. He will also oversee the manufacture and implementation of his projects once the engineering phase has been completed to ensure continuous quality control.
